Truthfully, the Rapidan Rivers Blackberry wine is the best wine that i've ever tasted in my life. (seriously) You can actually taste the berries. It's incredible. I'm hooked. I picked up a bottle from my local kMart and i've been wondering to my self "where has this wine been all of my life?" I'm eager to try the peach and the Rose'. My advice to someone who loves a wine with a hint of berry mixed with a rich, evenly blended not so sweet not so bitter wine......TRY THIS ONE. You'll love it!

I love blackberries anyway but this wine took it to another level that didn't exist! I love this wine with a perfect flavor and body and never ever have gotten so excited over wine in my life. I would
recommend this wine as #1.

This is a truely divine wine! Sweet and wet, without being toothache sweet. This is the best blackberry wine I have ever tasted! I have bought sweet wines from all over the country, and very few compare to the wines I got from the Pince Michel winery!

Subtle yet amazing blackberry flavor. Reminiscent of the days picking fresh blackberries in the mountains but sweeter and far easier to enjoy. My Grandfather used to ship the mountain blackberries to a winery in New York but he would be much prouder of this Virginia version.

LOVE THIS WINE! I agree with another one of the reviews, where has this wine been all my life. I do not buy anything else but the blackberry and the chocolate, LOVE THEM. Thanks PM!

I've never been a huge wine drinker, but I absolutely LOVE this wine! Wonderful blackberry flavor without being overwhelming, nicely balance, neither overly sweet nor dry (I do tend to prefer sweeter wines). This is a wine I could drink every day. I highly recommend it! The chocolate wine has also won me over, it was incredible. But I think the Blackberry still wins. It is now my favorite go-to wine, and I've managed to convert some friends of mine as well.
Blackberry Spinach Salad
Ingredients
3 cups baby spinach, rinsed and dried
1 pint fresh blackberries
6 ounces crumbled feta cheese
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
1 green onion, sliced
¼ cup finely chopped walnuts
Salad Dressing Ingredients
1 ½ teaspoon red wine vinegar
1 ½ teaspoon balsamic vinegar
½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
Directions
Mix salad dressing and then toss all ingredients in a large bowl and serve.
Blackberry-Chocolate Chip Pie
Ingredients
1 (15 ounce) package pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
¾ cup white sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 cups blackberries
¾ cup semisweet chocolate chips
½ tablespoon lemon juice
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C.). Place one of the pie crusts into the bottom of a 9 inch pie plate.
In a bowl, mix the sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Gently stir in the blackberries and chocolate chips. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Transfer to the pie crust in the pie place.
Place remaining pie crust over the top, and secure to the bottom crust by pressing with a fork, or fluting with your fingers.
Bake 35 minutes in the preheated over, until top is golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing.
Blackberry Wine Cake
Ingredients
1 cup or more chopped pecans sprinkled on the bottom of the pan (optional)
1 box white cake mix
¾ cup oil
4 eggs
1 (3 ounce) box blackberry gelatin, blackberry fusion or raspberry
1 cup Rapidan River Blackberry Wine
Directions
Grease and flour (or spray Pam) a bundt pan
Mix together and pour over pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Remove from oven and pierce with skewer, ice pick or knife. Pour half the glaze over cake. Let cool 10-15 minutes.
Turn onto serving plate and pour the other half of the glaze over it.
Glaze Mix: 1 ½ cups confectioner’s sugar with ½ cup Rapidan River Blackberry
